I just got the new Zune HD a few days ago. Previously I had a 2nd generation 16gb zune. I really liked the 2nd generation zune and was very happy with it until I got the Zune HD. The Zune HD is an entirely different experience, and now I look at my old zune like day old sushi. Everything worked as advertised right out of the box. The software upgrade was a little tricky though. The exe file I downloaded got hung up "downloading updates", no matter how many times I tried. Finally I got a tip from someone else with the same problem. The fix is to open the Zune software and use the check for updates tab in the settings/general menu. The software was updated in less than 5 minutes. Everything else, like setting up the sync preferences and setting up the wifi, went smoothly. The screen is great, the quickplay is a nice feature, and the HD radio give additional listening options. The web browser works well and the marketplace is easy to use from the Zune. On the previous zune that I had, I would go to the marketplace from my computer if I were looking for something. Now is just as easy to browse the marketplace from the Zune HD. I also purchased the AV dock and I have had the same positive experience with the dock. It set up in 2 minutes and I was browsing my music collection with the remote control from the comfort of my sofa. While playing music on when attached to the dock, the TV screen shows images of the artists as well as the album art, track and album title. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase.
