I have been a faithful follower of the Zune since the original 30GB model. Actually, even with the newer iterations that have come out since I always seem to fall back to my old faithful brown 30GB. But no more! After playing with this new toy for over a day now I have to say that it is a thing of beauty, both physically and funtionally. The operating system is very intuitive once you figure it out. That would be the only possible negative I would have to say about the Zune HD. Microsoft should have given at least a one-sheet on how to operate the darn thing. But, after a little bit of trial and error I was surfing through this baby with ease. The unit itself is beautiful to look at and seems much more attractive than all Zunes before. The screen is incredibly responsive yet not so much that you are constantly flipping through screens unintentionally. The sound as usual is superb and even the headset that comes with it is passable. The OLED screen is simply breathtaking. The brightness and clarity of this screen is a welcome change from the slighly dull screens of the previous Zunes. I was contemplating finally giving in and purchasing an Ipod Touch, but once I got this baby in my hand I knew I made the right choice.
