Zune HD 32 GB Video MP3 Player (Platinum) Best Quality

*This review is purely based off of personal experience and research*

I haven't really had any hands-on experience with the iPodTouch, just friends that have it and lots of videos, but I can honestly say that the new ZuneHD is some serious competition for it in this market.

Right off the bat some of the features are strikingly fun to experience, including the new OLED.
-The OLED screen is bright and vivid, having more visibility in direct daylight than most other back-lit LED devices, providing a nice experience anywhere you go, though you still have to have some shade to fully enjoy video.
-The touch-screen interface is incredibly smooth and accurate, making just navigating through the menus a quick jump from item to item. The screen is also nice for the (very few) apps they have, working like a charm with both motion and touch sensitivity.
-The overall weight and feel in you hand is very comfortable and durable, making the use very easy for on the go or just sitting and relaxing at home (or waiting on the train/bus).
-The battery-life, though not OUTSTANDING, is a very comfortable time length for you to enjoy a day or two of music-listening and movie-watching, without too much worry about when you will be able to plug it in next for the next charge. This item currently has a rough estimated time for music at 33 hours and video at 8.5, which isn't too shabby in my book.

Some other items, which may take a bit to use, are also very enjoyable.
-The internet browser is very smooth, handling well with all HTML websites, though with no flash support, can leave you wanting when going to more high-production sites, mostly for games and movies. Aside from that, even the non-mobile sites are made easy to browse with simple touches and flicks of your finger, with the zoom-in feature utilized through a double-tap or reverse-pinch movement with your fingers (I just use both of my thumbs).
-Video, though not at too much of a higher-resolution compared to the previous Zunes, has been made much smoother to look at, creating a softer look and feel to any video you are watching (podcast, DVD-rip, etc...). Only complaint I have with this is that the player currently still only recognizes WMV format, which is just a minor inconvenience.

Other items include pictures and music, which some of you may be using it mostly for. I find it is pretty much the same quality as far as music, but I'm no audio bough. But the image quality is crystal-clear when browsing images or even just using an image as a custom wallpaper.

And about the apps, I KNOW it has almost no apps, but what few cute little apps it has are fun, and with the Nvidia Tegra graphics processor, there are high hopes for some decent games in the future. C'mon Microsoft, you should be good with getting games for this by now! And there is no comparison to the iPodTouch apps, since those apps have been developing for, what, 2-3 years? Just give the Zune HD some time before you start complaining about how it has no apps, it JUST came out!

Well, that's all I have to say right now about this Zune HD. All I can say overall is that I'm having a blast with it, and I'm going to be carrying it around with me a hell of a lot more than my first generation Zune (which I upgraded from). This item was definitely worth the $289.99 price tag, and if you haven't ordered it yet, it's even MORE worth it now since you have more of a color choice and can even get the Zune "originals" designs. If you have an old Zune, or no newer MP3 player at all yet, get this! It's well-worth the investment.
